Many homes in Texas are located in subdivisions that are governed or managed by a homeowners' association, or property owners' association, as they are referred to in the state statutes. Property owners' associations are granted certain powers under Texas state law. The information within the Property Code as well as your governing documents can be very confusing. We will assist the association and the Board of Directors with association laws as well as any changes from the Texas Legislature.
